The First Descendant Patch 1.3.35 Targets Onslaught Leavers and Fixes a Long List of Bugs

The update was scheduled for July 23 at 00:00 PDT on Steam, Xbox, and PS5, with new ETA-0 exchange rewards and fixes for Descendants, equipment, content, and UI issues.

The First Descendant Patch 1.3.35 was scheduled to go live on July 23, 2026, at 00:00 PDT for Steam, Xbox, and PS5. Nexon detailed the patch in its official Steam announcement, which asks players to reconnect for smoother gameplay.

The update focuses on a planned response to player departures during high-difficulty co-op missions. Nexon also added new items to the ETA-0 Exchange Intercept Battle Rewards, reset purchase limits for several reward materials, and fixed problems affecting Descendant abilities, weapons, Critical Point Breakthrough battles, events, and menus.

The First Descendant Patch 1.3.35 Notes

The Onslaught Mode section includes a developer explanation of how enemy scaling already works when players leave a multiplayer mission. Nexon said it plans to add clearer indicators for the system and is preparing separate countermeasures for repeated mid-mission quitting.

Content Improvements

(1) Onslaught Mode

# Designer’s Comment

We have been consistently monitoring your feedback regarding the difficulties you are experiencing in high-difficulty co-op content, such as Onslaught Mode, due to other Descendants leaving the mission midway.

First, we would like to clarify the system that is currently in place.

Currently, if players leave during a multiplayer session and the active player count decreases, a feature is triggered where newly spawned monsters have their stats dynamically scaled to match the remaining number of players. This feature is also actively applied to Clash Mode.

However, we realize that due to a lack of clear guidance regarding this feature, many Descendants may have found it difficult to actually notice or feel these adjustments during gameplay.

We apologize for our lack of explanation on this matter. Moving forward, we plan to add clear in-game indicators so that you can easily confirm when this scaling feature is active.

That being said, we do not believe that simply adjusting monster stats based on player count fully resolves the core issue of mid-game quits in high-difficulty co-op content. In actual gameplay, a sudden drop in combatants inherently disrupts the flow of the operation and can place an undeniable extra burden on the remaining Descendants.

We view repeated mid-game quitting as a serious issue that negatively impacts the gameplay experience of other Descendants. Therefore, going beyond mere UI improvements, we are preparing separate, dedicated countermeasures to address this behavior.

We will share the exact details of these countermeasures and the update schedule through our future Patch Notes as soon as they are finalized.

We will continue to closely monitor and refine the co-op combat environment to ensure a more stable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
