Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.62 Open Beta Is Live With New Garages and 11 Escape Tracks

Euro Truck Simulator 2’s 1.62 Open Beta is now available on Steam, bringing new truck garages across the base map and every map DLC. The build also updates truck interiors, customization options, and the in-game radio.

New garages reach every map region

The garage redesign refreshes both exterior and interior models, with more attention to detail throughout. SCS Software says it worked to keep the performance cost in check compared with the older garages.

Truck interiors and radio get updates

The Improved Material System now reaches the Iveco S-Way cabin, improving its lighting and the way interior materials respond to light. The beta also brings in the three DAF XG+ editions: Emerald, Sapphire, and 30 Years in Czechia. The green and blue editions have dedicated exterior accessories and interiors, while the Czech anniversary edition gets its own exterior details and cabin design.

Goodyear Tyres Pack paint jobs now use the company’s updated logo and slightly adjusted colors. Escape, the game’s only stream-safe radio station, has had tracks with copyright issues removed and 11 new songs added. Its longer playlist now runs closer to the length of the game’s other stations.

How to join the open beta

In Steam, open your Library, right-click Euro Truck Simulator 2, and select Properties. Go to Game Versions & Betas, then choose public_beta from the Beta Participation list. Restarting Steam may be necessary if the branch name does not appear.

This is a beta, not the stable public release, so bugs, instability, and crashes are possible. Players testing the build can send bug reports through the dedicated SCS forum section.
