Nexon posted a new Steam notice for The First Descendant covering July 3 through July 9, 2026 PDT, and the latest crackdown reached 453 users in total.
Most of that total came from unusual gameplay activity, which led to 426 players receiving a 3-day separate matchmaking penalty. Nexon also issued 17 permanent bans for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs, 9 permanent bans for exploitation tied to the Open Store payment process, and 1 seven-day trading restriction after abnormal transaction records were detected.
The week followed a June 26-July 2 sweep that hit 326 users in another weekly report. Nexon said its enforcement comes from player reports and internal monitoring, and it told anyone disputing an Open Store payment-related punishment to use Customer Service > 1:1 Support. Chargeback-related disputes should go through the platform store used for the payment.
