Borderlands 4’s Dead ECHOs Podcast Sends Two Scammers Into Pandora’s Chaos
Gearbox's first scripted narrative podcast follows an ECHO operator and a mysterious partner as they uncover a corporate conspiracy.

Gearbox has introduced Borderlands: Dead ECHOs, a scripted narrative podcast set in the chaotic Borderlands universe. The first episode is available now, with new chapters scheduled to arrive weekly over the next couple of months, according to the official Steam announcement.
The story takes place in Pandora’s rough badlands, where Watts, a frustrated DAHL ECHO Operator, earns extra money by selling secrets found in undeliverable ECHO logs. His side business takes a sharp turn when Junie, a stranger with ambitious ideas, helps him escape trouble.
The pair soon form an unlikely partnership. Junie pushes Watts toward a Robin Hood-style approach to their criminal operation, but their attempts to profit from hidden information attract dangerous attention. Mercenaries, outlaws, and DAHL’s corporate hit squad all become part of the mess.
At the center of that corporate threat is Vivian Proctor, a power-hungry rogue executive who commands DAHL’s deadly assassins. What begins as a scheme built around easy money and shaky trust gradually exposes a much larger coup involving cyborg killers.
Where to hear Dead ECHOs
The opening episode is available on Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, and Pandora, as well as YouTube. The limited series will add another piece of Pandora’s story each week.
Dead ECHOs gives the Borderlands setting room to tell a story away from the usual Vault Hunter perspective. Watts and Junie’s shaky partnership already has plenty of room for bad decisions, suspicious deals, and the kind of corporate trouble that tends to end with bullets flying.
