War Thunder’s 249th Screenshot Contest Puts Water in the Frame

Entries close November 13, 2026, with six winners receiving 300 Golden Eagles apiece.

War Thunder’s 249th Steam Screenshot Competition puts water in the frame, and Gaijin’s Steam announcement gives players until November 13, 2026, to submit an entry. Ocean battles and amphibious attacks are among the suggested scenes, but any setting works if the image includes water and a player vehicle.

The new theme follows the 248th round’s battle-damage focus. To enter, upload a new screenshot to the War Thunder Steam Community Hub and use #WTscreen249 as the entire title.

Entries must be original, follow War Thunder’s rules, and have no prior publication or competition use. Only unedited screenshots captured in-game qualify. Built-in filters, settings, and replay tools are allowed, but outside editing and visual enhancements such as Nvidia Ansel filters are not. An artist may win by popular vote only once per four screenshot competitions.

After submissions close, 6 winners will be chosen. The 3 highest-rated community entries will join 3 judge-selected picks, with each winner receiving 300 Golden Eagles. Rewards will be delivered to winners’ accounts within 14 working days.

Gaijin also announced the 6 winners from the 248th contest. Community voters chose one winning screenshot, another community pick, and the third winner. Judges selected their first pick, another winning entry, and their final selection.
