Icarus Week 238 gives prospectors a better pack and a look at next week’s workshop gear

The update adds the Tier 3 Cured Leather Backpack, clears up a batch of visual and crash issues, and previews the MXC Oxite Dissolver for next week.

Icarus Week 238 puts the spotlight on a new backpack, and RocketWerkz pairs it with a cleanup pass that touches textures, LODs, shadows, inventory crashes, and radioactive-area audio. The studio also pointed players to next week’s workshop item, the MXC Oxite Dissolver.

The new Tier 3 Cured Leather Backpack is crafted on-planet at the Advanced Textiles Bench. It keeps the same +6 inventory slot boost as the Tier 2 Leather Backpack, doubles the weight reduction bonus to 10% for Ore and Wood, and raises the carry weight bonus from 5kg to 10kg. That gives the surface-side gear path a little more room to breathe without leaning on Workshop equipment, and it follows the progression that was already foreshadowed in Icarus Week 237.

RocketWerkz also said Tier 4 and Tier 5 backpacks are already on the way. For now, Week 238 gives players a sturdier carry option and then tees up the MXC Oxite Dissolver for next week’s workshop rotation.

Icarus Week 238 Patch Notes

This update is built around the Cured Leather Backpack, but the changelog also includes a broad round of polish and fixes. RocketWerkz trimmed texture sizes where it made sense, cleaned up mesh detail and shadow problems, and fixed a crash tied to inventory actions. The longer changelog block below also captures the Dangerous Horizons branch work that is still moving behind the scenes.
