The First Descendant lines up Bunny tweaks, Evangelion cosmetics, and a fresh dungeon for June 18

The June 18 update also adds Shackles of Mortality, Tormentor's return in Void Abyss, and a long list of quality-of-life changes.

The First Descendant Dev Note vol. 26 landed on June 16, 2026, and the patch it previews will arrive on June 18, 2026. The update brings Bunny skill changes, an EVANGELION collaboration, Onslaught Mode adjustments, a new Axion Plains dungeon, a new Ultimate Weapon, and a long list of quality-of-life updates. Some of the details may still change before release.

For the full breakdown, the studio pointed players to its official video.

Bunny gets the month’s balance pass

Bunny is the focus of this month’s balance work. Maximum Power will be replaced with Flash Kick, an instant dash-style skill, while players who still want the old setup can keep it through the Electric Charge module. Electric Condense, Bionic Fuel, and High-Voltage are also getting adjustments, and two new Skill Modules, Electric Link and Electric Transition, will join the pool.

The new module changes are not just small stat swaps. Electric Charge keeps Maximum Power and adds a penetration effect, Electric Condense adds an attack on use, Bionic Fuel folds in shield and HP recovery, and High-Voltage raises the target cap from four to five.

EVANGELION cosmetics begin on June 18

The EVANGELION collaboration will run from June 18 through July 30, 2026. It adds Rei, Asuka, and Mari plugsuit skins, three weapon skins, the Pen Pen attachment, social motions, and other customization items. A collaboration event starts with the patch and will hand out NERV Tokens for rewards tied to the crossover.

A second cosmetic wave follows on July 2, 2026 with the 2026 swimsuit skins, while Keelan also gets a premium skin on June 18.

Onslaught Mode, Bastion of Immortality, and the Tormentor return

The new Onslaught Mode changes focus on readability and tuning. The UI color will shift with the gauge value, Bombardment Support gains damage and range, Emergency Missions will be able to activate at random, and three new Arche parameters are being added. That follows the broader endgame work in Update 1.3.28, but the June 18 patch adds another balance pass on top.

Bastion of Immortality is the new infiltration dungeon heading to Axion Plains. The dungeon follows the Vulgus after they steal Void Vessel research data and facilities, and the final boss is the Administrator, who serves Amon, the Immortal Legion Commander. Nexon also said the route system will vary the combat spaces and turret summons from run to run.

Tormentor is also coming back through Void Abyss Intercept Battle with a Challenge difficulty. The fight will use a plus and minus polarity pattern, and the Pain Giver skin will be available again.

Shackles of Mortality and the wider weapon pass

Shackles of Mortality joins the game as a new Ultimate Weapon with a grim reaper theme. After a swap to the weapon, the first round loads as a Resting Bullet, then another Resting Bullet fires every four shots. Its Rest stacks also scale with critical hit damage, so crit-heavy builds should get more out of it.

Albion Cavalry Gun, ERASER, and four melee weapons are also being adjusted. Albion Cavalry Gun is being tuned for critical-hit firearm builds, ERASER gets changes to its Degrading Enzyme mechanic, and the melee weapons are losing round consumption entirely. Deus Ex Manus, Hypernova, Shadow, and Crime and Punishment are all part of that balance pass.

QoL, events, and the July broadcast

The quality-of-life list is wide. Valby will be able to use Grappling Hook during Skill 3, Bubble gets fixes and a damage bump, High-Power round pickups restore more ammo and raise the cap from 50 to 75, Cinematic Replay opens up past scenes in Albion, HQ Orders gets a status preview, and the chest attachments tied to story quests will become common items across Descendants. Some module drop rates will also rise to 20%, and MP recovery in combat will kick in faster.

The Boost Path that ran in February is coming back with a similar setup, and June 18 will also bring a long event slate that includes THE FIRST DESCENDANT X EVANGELION, Ultimate Weapon Upgrade Mission II, Sea Day with Valby, Descendant’s Weekend, Accelerate Research Event, and Back to Albion.

The 2nd Anniversary Descendant Fest broadcast is planned for Tuesday, July 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM PDT on the official YouTube channel. Nexon said the show will cover the second half of 2026, Season 4, and the anniversary story trailer.
