War Thunder’s 2.55.1.92 update cleans up chaff handling on three aircraft

War Thunder update 2.55.1.92 landed on May 4, 2026, and this one stayed small, with a fix for aircraft chaff and a cleanup in the weapon preset menu.

A recent 2.55.1.56 hotfix handled naval, sound, and progression fixes, and this follow-up keeps the same narrow focus. The new patch corrects chaff behavior on the J-11A, J-11B, and AH Mk.1 Apache, while the secondary weapon preset customization window now groups internal cannons and machine guns under the right category.

This patch targets two areas players run into often, especially if they spend time tuning aircraft loadouts. One fix deals with countermeasures on three aircraft, and the other clears up a localization and category issue in the hardpoint selector.

Aircraft

• J-11A, J-11B, AH Mk.1 Apache — a bug that caused the chaff to be normal caliber instead of large caliber has been fixed.

Interface

• A bug that caused internal cannons and machine guns to be in separate categories with no localization in the selection popup for individual hardpoints in the secondary weapon preset customization window instead of in the “Cannons & Machine guns” category has been fixed.
