War Thunder 2.59.0.59 Fixes SAM Targeting in Nuclear Escalation

Separate fixes restore the H8K2 and H8K3 wing-root turrets and stop ray-traced aircraft shadows from flickering.

War Thunder Update 2.59.0.59 focuses on Nuclear Escalation’s surface-to-air missile behavior, fixing cases where high-ground systems ignored targets over water and assigned some targets too little priority, according to Gaijin’s Steam patch notes. S-75 and HAWK systems now deactivate their search and tracking radars when threatened by anti-radiation missiles at medium to long ranges.

The update also fixes a firing problem with the wing-root turrets on the H8K2 and H8K3, along with flickering ray-traced shadows on aircraft. On Oct. 5, Update 2.59.0.46 raised supply-column cargo capacity and tactical assembly-area depot storage by 50% each, while also fixing convoy traffic issues in Nuclear Escalation.
