Snowy weather
The Weathermen’s instruments did not fail this time; the forecasts came true. The Zone is frozen again.
With snow blanketing familiar landscapes like The Swamps and Polesskoye, it’s a picturesque sight, but don’t let its beauty fool you! Expert researchers are advised to update their camouflage so they don’t stand out against the white scenery, after all, blending in is key when danger lurks around every corner.
Temporary quest line “A Voice From the Other Side”
A New Year’s Eve is here! While civilians decorate their shelters and bases, visitors have arrived at the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Meet Scientist Professor Nicholas and some friendly Snowmen from The Inside Out, who are ready to share gifts with those brave enough to venture out. But where could our favorite Snow Maiden be? What happened to her?
As howling winds echo through the icy terrain, a call for help resonates across the land. Those willing to heed this call will find themselves entwined in events that promise surprises galore!
The quest line is available until the end of the seasonal event.
The Snowstorm
This temporary yet large-scale event blankets most of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone (except Lyubech-3 and Stillwaters) under swirling snowflakes. Similar to previous eruptions, players will receive warnings about approaching snowstorms that last approximately 30 minutes.
During these storms, visibility drops significantly while a Cold infection sets in, making survival all the more challenging! The further north you go, the stronger this chilling effect becomes.

You’ll find crates filled with consumables scattered throughout, the perfect aid for braving these wintry conditions! And yes, even campfires make a return; they’re your cozy companions during these harsh times.

Your safe zone now features your very own Christmas Tree waiting for decorations! Each ornament boosts its level, a delightful way to spread holiday cheer while earning themed rewards like paints and keychains!
