The anticipation surrounding the latest patch for Escape from Tarkov has finally culminated in the rollout of version 0.15.5.0. Players can expect approximately 8 hours of downtime while the update is implemented, though this may extend if necessary. Notably, Escape from Tarkov: Arena will remain accessible during this maintenance window.
As part of this update, all PVE raids will temporarily utilize game servers. The team has adjusted the number of servers for PVE modes to optimize search times for players. It’s all about making sure you dive into the action without unnecessary delays.
One of the standout features in this patch is the partial inventory interaction during loading into raids. Players can now manipulate their stash, profile, and flea market items while waiting for the server to load, making pre-raid preparations more efficient.
- Players can now:
- Sort and move items in their stash.
- List items for sale on the flea market.
- Access character tabs, including quests.
Additionally, players can view the gear and health status of their PMCs and teammates during loading, enhancing the strategic element of pre-raid planning. This feature is also available for Scav raids.
The patch introduces significant changes to how achievements are rewarded. Players can now receive items for specific achievements, and these rewards persist through global or personal wipes.
- Achievements from the “Tarkov Mystery” event will yield rewards for each achievement achieved, such as a unique Mr Kerman’s cat hologram.
- Furthermore, the previously required tasks to obtain the Adik Tracksuit have been altered, making it more accessible for players to acquire this tactical outfit.
The update also includes new functions for item management in your stash. The ability to pin and lock items provides an extra layer of organization:
- Pinned: Items won’t auto-sort but can be manually moved.
- Locked: Prevents removal, sale, or usage in crafting, enhancing item security.
An exciting seasonal change has been implemented, transitioning the in-game environment to autumn. Expect a fresh visual experience as your raids will now be set against a backdrop of changing leaves and cooler weather.
Additionally, the zones for transitioning between locations have been adjusted for a smoother experience, ensuring players spawn closer to relevant transition areas.
The patch has introduced the MPS Auto Assault-12 shotgun, along with new attachments to enhance weapon customization. Players can now utilize:
- Magpul M-LOK for bipod attachment.
- Odin Works “K-Pod KeyMod” and KeySlot for Harris bipods.
A range of visual and technical issues have been addressed, including fixes to water rendering in basements, weapon weight display errors, and various texture problems across locations. The developers are committed to polishing the experience to ensure that players can enjoy every moment of their raids without frustration.
