Escape from Tarkov’s Infected Tagilla Task May Be Easier on Factory

A player's event-completion tip estimates enemies need about 1 to 3 seconds in the gas to become infected.

For the final Therapist quest in Escape from Tarkov’s Halloween event, Factory is worth trying for the infected Tagilla kill. One player who completed the event found Tagilla infected there and said the fight was easier. The event arrived with Patch 1.3.0.0, but Factory is a route to try, not a guaranteed shortcut.

For the gas-grenade step, draw enemies into a line behind you and lead them through the cloud, then shoot them once they become infected. The player estimated that 1 to 3 seconds in the gas was enough, so treat that as an informal timing rather than a fixed threshold.

Quest credit is a separate concern. In another player’s run, zombies killed by vaccine gas grenades did not count toward progress, so use the gas to infect them and gunfire to finish them. The grenades are expensive, which makes using them on kills that do not count a costly mistake.

A Gate 3 perch can help, with risks

For another Factory option, stand on the barrels in the glass hallway just outside Gate 3. In one player’s run, regular zombies did not hit them there. Watch for zombie Tagilla and zombies carrying guns, and do not treat the perch as safe in PvE, where PMCs may rush the hallway and kill you.

If the zombies stop coming toward you, fire a shot and wait. One player said they eventually came over that way. The same player completed the quest solo in 2 raids, but that is one run, not a promise of the same pace for everyone.
