Elden Ring has just dropped update 1.12.2, and if you’re not keeping up with these patches, you’re missing out on a more balanced Shadow of the Erdtree experience.
The calibration update has significantly changed the attack and damage negation curve scaling of the Shadow Realm Blessings. If you’ve been grinding those Blessings, you’ll notice that the attack and damage negation now scales more favorably in the early levels and evens out more gradually as you max out. The final level of Blessing enhancements is getting a slight buff too.
To get these changes, just log into the multiplayer server. Make sure your Calibration Ver. at the bottom right of the title menu reads 1.12.2. If not, hit that LOGIN button and update before you jump back into the game.
Furthermore, if you’re loading from previous game versions, PC players have a bug that might automatically turn on ray tracing. If your framerate is tanking, check your ‘SYSTEM’ > ‘Graphics Settings’ > ‘Raytracing Quality’. Make sure it’s set to ‘OFF’ if you didn’t mean to turn it on. Once you fix it, it won’t bother you again.
Future patches promise even more balance adjustments and bug fixes. FromSoftware is definitely monitoring the gameplay experience and tweaking things as needed. For the full patch notes, please check below.

- The attack and damage negation granted by the final level of Blessing enhancements has been slightly increased.

About graphics settings (PC version only)
We have confirmed a bug where the raytracing settings are automatically enabled if you have previously loaded saved data from previous game versions.
If your framerate is unstable, please check in the ‘SYSTEM’ > ‘Graphics Settings’ > ‘Raytracing Quality’ settings from the title menu or in-game menu to check if it has been unintentionally set to ‘ON’. Once set to ‘OFF’, Ray Tracing will no longer be automatically enabled.
Other balance adjustments as well as bug fixes are also planned for a future patch.
Thank you for your continued support of ELDEN RING.
The version number of this update shown at the lower right corner of the Title Screen will be as follows:
