Elden Ring Movie May Run Nearly 3 Hours
Cinema Now's unconfirmed runtime claim would make the film A24's second-longest, and Deadline reports a screenplay of at least 180 pages with visuals.

Cinema Now says A24’s Elden Ring movie may run close to three hours, but the claim is an estimate rather than a confirmed runtime.
A24’s live-action ‘ELDEN RING’ film reportedly has a runtime of nearly 3 hours.

• It’s the most expensive film A24 has ever made.

Deadline’s report puts the finished screenplay at at least 180 pages with visuals and says A24 is taking team members to international buyers to read the script with a staff member present. Its length offers a reason for the runtime estimate, but page count alone cannot determine the film’s final running time.
The familiar rule of roughly one screenplay page per minute is only a guide. Dialogue, pacing, and visual passages can all change how long the material plays on screen.
Even a film approaching three hours would condense a game that can take upwards of 100 hours to see and do everything. The adaptation would still need to choose which parts of the Lands Between and its boss fights receive the most time.
An earlier estimate put production costs near $200 million, excluding marketing, which would make the film A24’s most expensive project. The adaptation remains scheduled to reach theaters on March 3, 2028.
