The Duskbloods’ First Network Test Session Ended Early After Server Errors
From Software closed the four-hour test window after repeated login failures kept most selected participants from accessing the game.

The Duskbloods‘ first Network Test session ended early on August 21, 2026, after server login failures kept most selected participants from getting into the game. The session began at 11 AM BST, but repeated connection attempts led to the same error instead of the opening test.
Players were met with the message: “Failed to log in to The Duskbloods game server. Select “OK” to attempt to log in again.” Trying again generally produced the same result, leaving the majority of invited testers unable to access the session.
The outage was especially frustrating because the Network Test uses a tightly limited schedule. Five sessions were planned in total, with each one lasting four hours. Since the first session was closed ahead of schedule, four sessions remain for participants.
From Software apologized for the disruption through its official account and attributed the closure to game server issues. The studio said it would continue working on the servers and announce future schedules at a later date.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to those who were waiting for the first The Duskbloods network test due to game server issues. We regret to inform you that today's session is now closed. We will continue to work on improving the servers and will announce…

No replacement date for the interrupted session was included in the statement. For now, the remaining four Network Test sessions are still ahead, while From Software works on the problems that prevented players from logging in.
The disruption comes ahead of a reported September 24 launch date, although Nintendo and From Software have not formally confirmed that date.
