World of Warcraft’s Sept. 9 Hotfixes Fix 6 Classes and Make Prey Rewards Alt-Friendly
Players who reach Preyhunter's Journey rank 6 can now earn 500 Corrosive Coins on each character that defeats Ral'kala.

World of Warcraft‘s Sept. 9 hotfixes give six classes a cleanup pass, repair several The Venomous Abyss encounters, and make a daily Prey reward available across a player’s characters. The hotfixes are live now, with the clearest account convenience arriving for players who have reached Preyhunter’s Journey rank 6.
Once that rank is reached, every character that defeats Ral’kala can receive 500 Corrosive Coins each day. The reward was previously limited to the first character to do so, so alts can now earn the same daily payout.
Class fixes target tracking and combat interactions
The class portion focuses on ability behavior and cooldown visibility rather than numerical damage changes. Blood Death Knights, Guardian Druids, Protection Paladins, Priests, Enhancement Shamans, and Warriors all receive fixes.
Warrior Arms and Protection players can now track their Venomous Abyss set bonus effects in the Cooldown Manager, while Rend is also trackable for both specializations. Enhancement Shamans receive corrections for Doom Winds interrupting channeled effects and Crash Lightning causing unintended Windfury Weapon targets. Other fixes address Death and Decay, Wild Guardian, Glory of the Vanguard, and Flash Heal tracking.
The Venomous Abyss receives another round of fixes
The raid changes cover Entombed Sentinels, The Lost Explorers, and Ula’tek. Toxic Droplets will no longer be instantly stepped on when they land directly on a player, and Living Venom no longer pierces immunities. Hoji now returns to the main platform if he falls from the bridge, while Ula’tek gets health backstops that make the boss leave Rage of the Shackled at specific health thresholds.
Those changes follow the Sept. 2 hotfixes, which already reduced Mythic Ula’tek’s Soul Constrictor duration and Blight Vein damage in the previous hotfix batch. Den of Nalorakk also receives a separate correction so player pets can damage The Winter Squall.
Delves, items, PvP, and achievements
Soft Underbelly is now an account-wide achievement. Bountiful Coffers in Delves can also reward Zul’jarra’s Forces reputation as intended.
Item fixes cover the Preternatural Antivenom trinket, which now applies its effect beyond only the wearer. Void Elf and Blood Elf eyebrows remain visible with the Aquatic or Brick Gloomcap, and Bouncy Mushrooms no longer have collision. In PvP, Preservation Evokers can no longer use Stasis in an arena or battleground starting room to store spells before the gates open.
