World of Warcraft: Forever Doubles Tauren’s Plainsrunning Bonus to 60%
Orcs trade critical strike chance for pet damage, while the Skyborne's Read Leyline regeneration bonus is cut in half.

Tauren are gaining a major mobility boost in World of Warcraft: Forever. Blizzard’s updated beta notes raise Plainsrunning’s movement speed bonus from 30% to 60%.
Plainsrunning increases a Tauren’s speed the longer they stay in motion, giving the race a striking advantage for traveling on foot. The change is part of a wider round of racial adjustments that leaves room for more pronounced differences between race and class pairings.
Orcs lose an increased critical strike chance in favor of increased pet damage for Warlocks and Hunters. The Skyborne’s Read Leyline ability, which boosts health and mana regeneration, has its effect cut in half. Tauren, meanwhile, get the most visible mobility change in this round of tuning.
World of Warcraft: Forever remains scheduled to launch on November 4. These late adjustments give players fresh racial bonuses to weigh when choosing a character, including a Tauren passive that rewards keeping up the pace.
