War Thunder’s PLA Day promotion is running from July 30 at 09:00 GMT through August 3 at 09:00 GMT, giving players a chance to pick up Chinese vehicles at reduced prices and earn a new decal. Gaijin outlined the event in its Steam announcement.
The promotion centers on the Type 69-IIa, the ZTZ96B pack, and the “PLA Flag” decal. Both vehicle offers use the same four-day window, so players will need to act before August 3 at 09:00 GMT.
Type 69-IIa gets a 30% discount
The Type 69-IIa is available for 5,866 Golden Eagles, down 30% from its regular price. It can only be purchased during the promotion and is found under China → Army → Premium vehicles.
China developed the Type 69-IIa in the early 1980s as an export version of the Type 69. More than 3,500 units were produced for countries including Iraq, Pakistan, and Sudan. The vehicle features a more powerful gun, an upgraded fire-control system, smoke grenade launchers, and slat armor around the turret.
ZTZ96B pack is 30% off
The ZTZ96B Pack is discounted by 30% in the Gaijin.Net store. The Rank VII Chinese pack costs $48.99, reduced from $69.99.

The ZTZ96B has an improved transmission for better mobility. Its 125 mm gun can fire HE rounds, high-penetration APFSDS, and tandem-warhead ATGMs. The tank also carries a thermal imager, laser warning receiver, and laser rangefinder.
How to earn the “PLA Flag” decal
To unlock the “PLA Flag” decal, earn 3,000 mission points in battles using Chinese vehicles at Rank III or higher. Once collected, the decal appears in the China → Tanks section of the decals menu.
Progress can be checked in the hangar through Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → PLA Day. The task works in random battles, except for [Assault] mode. After finishing the requirement, the reward must be collected manually.
