War Thunder is opening its 236th Steam Screenshot Competition, and this round is all about vehicles carrying seriously large weapons. Players can submit an action shot featuring a tank, aircraft, or ship until August 14, 2026. Gaijin Entertainment shared the details in its latest Steam announcement.
The contest follows War Thunder’s 235th screenshot competition, which accepted entries under a broad vehicle theme before its August 7 deadline in the 235th screenshot competition.
What qualifies for the Long Guns contest
Every entry must show one of the following:
- A tank or ship with a caliber over 130mm.
- An aircraft with a caliber of 35mm or more.
The screenshot must be the entrant’s own work, newly created for the competition, and compliant with War Thunder’s rules. Outside editing software and visual effects such as Nvidia Ansel filters are not allowed. Built-in game filters, settings, and the replay function can be used.
How to enter
- Capture a qualifying screenshot in War Thunder.
- Upload it through the competition participation page on the War Thunder Steam Community Hub.
- Use #WTscreen236 as the title. No other text can appear in the title.
Once submissions close, six winners will be chosen. Three will come from community votes, while the judges will select the other three. Each winner will receive 300 Golden Eagles, with rewards reaching the winner’s account within 14 working days.
There is also a limit on repeat community winners. An artist can win through the popular vote only once in every four screenshot competitions.
