War Thunder Will Rearrange 6 Ground Vehicle Research Trees in Its Next Major Update
Affected vehicles will carry a special in-game icon, while the T-72B3A rank change has been postponed and the premium Cromwell V (RP-3) will keep its current price.
War Thunder’s ground vehicle research trees will be rearranged when the next major update arrives, affecting Germany, USSR, Great Britain, China, Italy, and Israel. Gaijin Entertainment announced the changes early so players can plan their research with the future layouts in mind.
Gaijin tied the reorganization to the next major update in its August 25, 2026 announcement, but did not provide a release date for that update. Vehicles affected by the move are marked with a special icon in-game.
Two specific notes are included alongside the broader tree changes. The planned rank change for the T-72B3A in the USSR tree has been postponed. In Great Britain’s tree, the premium Cromwell V (RP-3) will move to a higher rank, but its price will remain unchanged.
