The Master Chief Collection has no plans of adding mod support to Xbox Versions

Microsoft and 343 Industries have confirmed that Halo: The Master Chief Collection won’t be getting the same love as on PC, even though the PC launch came a bit delayed since its original launch on Xbox. Honestly speaking, the Launch on the Xbox was somewhat unfortunate, but the PC one was received very well due to multiple factors. One and the very crucial fact is the modding capability, which the Xbox is currently missing.

343 Industries have learned that if good support is thrown out there, the game will be very welcomed, so that’s what the company did. Hence, there’s a lot more than just stable player growth, and that is due to the support they’ve given, especially by allowing modding on the PC platform. Sadly, Xbox players would have to either wait longer or never get one.

In a recent Halo Waypoint thread, 343 Industries highlights how there are no plans to bring mods from PC to Xbox.

As of right now, there are no plans to bring mods down to console from PC. Our goal for this year is to roll out and improve the modding experience on PC before we begin evaluating how we would, should we choose to, bring that to consoles. We have seen quite a bit of chatter around it and want to set expectations accordingly that as of right now, there is no official plan of record to make it so. This could possibly change in the future, but it is not in the current roadmap.

With Halo Infinite just around the corner, we may see some shakeup regarding this question, and maybe Xbox users will get access to the mods.
