The First Descendant’s August 7–13 Review Penalized 286 Users
The enforcement sweep included 11 permanent game bans, two seven-day trading restrictions, and 273 separate matchmaking penalties.

The First Descendant recorded 286 enforcement actions during its latest abuse review, which covered August 7 through August 13, 2026, PDT. Nexon published the results in a Steam notice detailing bans and other restrictions issued during the week.
The sweep included 11 permanent game bans, two seven-day trading restrictions, and 273 separate matchmaking penalties. The total was slightly lower than the 293 penalties recorded in the previous July 31–August 6 review, which we covered in our previous abuse-sweep report.
How the 286 penalties were divided
- Unauthorized programs: Two users received permanent game bans for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs.
- Open Store exploitation: Nine users were permanently banned for exploiting processes connected to the Open Store payment system to gain unfair benefits.
- Abnormal transactions: Two users received seven-day trading restrictions after abnormal transaction records were detected.
- Unusual gameplay activity: Nexon issued separate matchmaking penalties to 273 users after detecting unusual or uncooperative gameplay activity under its operational policy.
How players can report abusive behavior
Nexon said the enforcement decisions were based on player reports and monitoring. Players who encounter abnormal or abusive behavior can submit a report through The First Descendant’s in-game reporting feature.
Users who want to dispute a punishment connected to exploitation of the Open Store payment process can contact the game’s official website through Customer Service > 1:1 Support. Disputes involving chargebacks should instead be directed to the store where the payment was made.
