The First Descendant’s Latest Abuse Sweep Sent 9 Accounts to Permanent Bans

Another 280 users received three-day separate matchmaking penalties, while four accounts received seven-day trading restrictions.

The First Descendant issued 293 penalties during its latest abuse review, which covered July 31 through August 6, 2026, PDT. The enforcement included nine permanent game bans, four seven-day trading restrictions, and 280 three-day separate matchmaking penalties. Nexon detailed the results in its Steam notice.

Five accounts were permanently banned for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs. Four more received permanent bans for exploiting processes connected to the Open Store payment system to gain unfair benefits.

Abnormal transaction records led to four seven-day trading restrictions. The largest group involved unusual gameplay activity, with 280 users placed in separate matchmaking for three days under the game’s operational policy.

Onslaught desertion penalties will begin August 7

Nexon also addressed repeated desertion in Onslaught. Its review found that roughly one in every seven matches in Stages 3 and 4 involved a deserter. More than 75% of players who left first were repeat deserters, which the developer said was affecting other players’ matches.

Temporary separate matchmaking restrictions for repeated initial desertion will be applied starting August 7, 2026, while Nexon prepares a permanent system. The results of those actions will be included in next week’s abuse-crackdown notice.

How the 293 penalties were divided

  • 5 permanent game bans: Creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs.
  • 4 permanent game bans: Exploiting processes related to the Open Store payment system.
  • 4 seven-day trading restrictions: Abnormal transaction records.
  • 280 three-day separate matchmaking penalties: Unusual gameplay activity.

The latest total follows the previous abuse sweep, which covered July 24 through July 30 and resulted in 298 penalties.

Enforcement decisions were based on player reports and monitoring. Players who encounter abnormal or abusive behavior should use the in-game report feature. Anyone disputing a penalty tied to Open Store payment-process exploitation can contact Customer Service through 1:1 Support, while chargeback-related disputes should be directed to the store used for the payment.
