The Alters Hotfix Targets Unreal Engine 5.5 Performance Problems
Hotfix 2.0.1.182 also fixes graphics settings that failed to apply correctly and adds a rollback branch for Steam players.

The Alters hotfix 2.0.1.182 went live on July 17 with a narrow focus on performance. According to the official Steam announcement, the update is the first of two planned patches addressing technical problems connected to the game’s move to Unreal Engine 5.5.
The developer said the latest changes target performance and stability across many parts of the game. A second update is scheduled for next week, although no exact date was provided.
Since the hotfix was deployed on a Friday, a legacy Steam branch is available with the previous live build. Players who run into new problems can switch to that version, and the announcement confirms that saves remain fully compatible.
