Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has left Early Access and reached version 1.0 on PC, bringing Digital Sun’s shopkeeping action RPG sequel to its full release on September 2. The game is now available through Steam.
Digital Sun and 11 bit studios confirmed the launch in a Steam announcement.
Moonlighter’s core appeal comes from its split routine. Will runs a shop during the day, then enters dangerous dungeons after dark to collect loot, battle creatures, and face bosses. Items brought home become store inventory, with sales funding the next expedition and turning every run into both a combat trip and a business decision.
The sequel arrives after an August 5 through August 9 promotion gave players a chance to claim the original Moonlighter for free on Steam. That offer has ended, but the August Steam promotion gave new players a convenient way to learn the series’ shopkeeping loop before entering The Endless Vault.
