Squad 10.6.2 Marks HAB Ammo Crate Spawn Points as Offworld Plans a Reversal

Other fixes address radial damage on Yehorivka, interface problems, client crashes, a memory leak, and missing server messages after kicks or bans.

Squad Hotfix 10.6.2 adds stakes to HAB blueprints to show where the ammo crate will spawn, helping players avoid getting trapped inside the completed structure. In its 10.6.2 release notes, Offworld Industries also says it will back out the ammo-crate system changes in the next hotfix. The developer acknowledged that the current implementation had not met its goals for Squad Leaders and newer players while accommodating longtime players.

For the next hotfix, Offworld plans to revisit the system internally and with playtesting communities. Those communities will have a chance to help decide whether the original goals can be met or whether the idea should be shelved and reconsidered.

The workaround follows 10.6.1, which moved the ammo crate inside the HAB and fixed it so the crate is destroyed with the structure. Hotfix 10.6.2 also addresses radial damage on WorldPartition layers, several map and settings display issues, client crashes, a memory leak, and server messages after kicks or bans.
