Screen Burn Is Preparing a PS5 Balance Change for The Weight in Silent Hill: Townfall

A September 30 post also confirmed that PC patch 1.3.1 is available on Steam and Epic to address stuttering tied to PSO compilation.

Screen Burn says a gameplay balance change for The Weight is on the way after players raised concerns about the enemy’s difficulty. The adjustment is intended for the PS5 version, but no release date has been announced.

The Weight is a slow, heavy pursuer that appears in confined areas and chases Simon if it spots him. Escape routes can be scarce, and getting caught kills him immediately, sending players back to a checkpoint. An IV Bag can revive Simon, but the monster stays near the spot where he fell, leaving little room to recover. Its encounters build on Townfall’s exposed first-person design, where routine actions already divide Simon’s attention.

Screen Burn shared the plan in a September 30 post that also confirmed PC patch 1.3.1 had been released for Steam and Epic. The patch significantly improves stuttering linked to PSO compilation, a separate issue from the upcoming enemy balance change.
