Pokémon GO trainers preparing to take on Azelf alone now have a community-made guide focused on the details that can decide a solo raid. The SoloRaidArchive project has started an initiative for live-boss solo guides, with Azelf as its first release.
Solo raiding requires more than simply bringing strong counters. The guide frames the challenge around reaching the 50 DPS threshold and explains how different strategies are carried out while accounting for the resources available to each Trainer.
The dedicated Azelf guide also gives readers several ways to study and contribute to the project:
- Mechanic links include hover previews with clip examples.
- Time-to-win estimates are provided for different budgets.
- Existing guides can be edited and submitted for PR review.
- Anyone can write and share a guide for review.
Azelf is a Psychic-type raid boss, making Dark-, Ghost-, and Bug-type attacks the starting point for team building. A broader Lake Trio raid party guide covers that shared matchup, while the Azelf project focuses more closely on the execution and timing needed for a solo clear.

More Solo Raid Archive Guides Are Planned
The archive team is also working on guides for Lunala, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Garchomp. Those future entries should extend the same format to other raid targets, with room for multiple solutions instead of a single fixed team recommendation.
Because the project is community-authored, its timings and strategies work best as practical targets rather than official guarantees. Account resources, move choices, and raid execution can all affect the result, so Trainers may need to adjust the approach to match their own collections.
