Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia will make their Pokémon GO debuts during GO Wild Area 2026 in Mexico City, giving ticket holders a major reason to prepare for the citywide event. Both Legendary Pokémon will appear in Five-Star Max Battles, and both can be Shiny.
The Mexico City stop is scheduled for Nov. 6 through 8, 2026, with gameplay running from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time each day. Rather than staying inside one park, the event will use locations throughout Mexico City.
New Pokémon and Mighty encounters
Hisuian Sliggoo and Hisuian Goodra will also debut during the event. Hisuian Sliggoo will appear in the wild and can be Shiny, while 100 Goomy Candy will be needed to evolve it into Hisuian Goodra.
Machamp wearing a modern jacket will appear in Three-Star Raids. The costumed Pokémon can be Shiny and will know Karate Chop, giving collectors and raid groups another event-specific target.
Mighty Pokémon will return in the wild and through Incense. These encounters are more difficult to catch and have better odds of high Attack, Defense, and HP ratings, as well as XL or XXL sizes. Ticket holders may also encounter Mighty Latias and Mighty Latios from Incense, and both can be Shiny.
GO Safari Balls will help with the tougher catches. All Trainers can receive them by spinning PokéStops and Gym Photo Discs during event hours, while ticket holders can also collect them from hourly GO Wild Area Supply Balloons. The special balls will only work from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on event days and will disappear from inventories after the Mexico City event ends.
Steel and Dragon habitats alternate throughout the day
Mexico City’s wild encounters will rotate between Solid as Steel Hour and Daring as Dragons Hour. The featured Pokémon in both habitat groups can be Shiny.

Ticket bonuses include research and extra trades
A one-day ticket costs MXN$350 plus applicable taxes and fees and grants access to gameplay on the selected day. Tickets are listed through the official Mexico City event page.
Ticket holders will receive an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon, half Egg Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event, double Catch Candy, and up to 10 free Raid Passes per day. The event will also raise the daily Max Particle collection limit to 8,000, reduce the cost of unlocking and powering up Max Moves to three-quarters of the normal amount, and allow up to six Special Trades per day with half the usual Stardust cost.
Exclusive branching Special Research will let Trainers choose between Steel- and Dragon-type paths, with each choice awarding a different in-game medal. Ticket holders will also gain access to event Field Research, special Incense encounters featuring Unown M, E, X, I, C, and O, and an increased chance of receiving 10 km Eggs.
Extra days and city activities
An Extra Day Add-On will cost MXN$300 and will provide another day of citywide gameplay, including event wild encounters, Incense encounters, Eggs, Field Research, Timed Research, and other bonuses. The ticketed Special Research can only be received once.
Two other add-ons will cost MXN$200 each. Battle Ready will focus on Raid and Max Battle rewards, while Egg-thusiast will add stronger hatching bonuses. Ticket holders can also take part in a Stamp Rally from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on their main ticketed day, with participating locations spread across Mexico City. Extra Day tickets do not provide another Stamp Rally.
