Patch 1.51.a for Peak went live on Steam today, December 19, 2025, bringing a short list of fixes aimed at stability and a few annoying in-match bugs. This is a maintenance-style release that patches a dangerous disconnect exploit and a handful of edge cases players have reported in recent sessions.
If you missed the last rollout, see our coverage of the earlier 1.44.a patch for context on recent balance and input fixes. The biggest immediate impact is for players who were seeing match-wide disconnects and timeouts when loading biomes. The update also targets cosmetic and collision issues that could leave items stuck in hands or characters trapped on map geometry.
Patch Notes
Some small last-second fixes before we sign off for real!
- Removed an exploit that would allow malicious players to force disconnect everyone in a game
- Handled some edge cases where items would get stuck in a player’s hands
- Fixed issue where players would sometimes time out when loading the next biome
- Snowballs should be slightly less glitchy
- Blocked scouts from being able to leave Kiln tunnel after the campfire is lit (and getting stuck on the wrong side of an invisible wall)
