No Man’s Sky Cosmos 7.04 targets expedition progression and station bugs
The patch also fixes deep-space salvage, Corvette behavior, memory use, audio, visual effects, and several crashes.

Hello Games published the Cosmos 7.04 patch notes on September 21, 2026, with fixes for mission progression, the Our Journey Continues expedition, player-owned stations, Corvettes, salvage, audio, visuals, and stability. The introduction contains a version mismatch, saying the fixes are included in patch 7.03 and that 7.03 is live on Steam, even though the page is titled 7.04. It does not provide a separate clear availability statement for 7.04 on other platforms.
Many of the fixes address Our Journey Continues, the 10th-anniversary expedition that began on September 16 and runs for approximately six weeks. Players who traded away their Multi-Tool before reaching the Beyond milestone will now know the Terrain Manipulator blueprint by default, while several expedition milestones receive corrections for missing markers, incorrect destinations, text errors, and reward ship costs. The expedition’s rewards and history were covered in the earlier Our Journey Continues coverage.
Cosmos 7.04 also fixes stations, Corvettes, and salvage
Outside the expedition, the patch raises the number of space stations one player can claim and improves Corvette spawn locations when teleporting to a space base. It also fixes external station collision, landing docks appearing on civilian frigates, salvage failing to enter a Corvette, and several deep-space points of interest behaving incorrectly.
Other changes cover VR controller input, alliance leaderboard number formatting, portal effects, creature navigation, underwater particles, the Space Anomaly interior, and cloud volumetrics on Mac. Hello Games also lists fixes for a memory crash, a rare reload hang, an audio threading crash, and memory usage on Xbox One and Switch 2. The patch follows No Man’s Sky 7.03, which focused on earlier Cosmos problems involving alliances, stations, and stability.
