Nadeshot’s Adresses Call of Duty’s Cheating Crisis in a Harsh Way

Nadeshot steps back from Black Ops 6 due to rampant cheating and bugs.

Imagine waking up excited for a day of gaming, only to find that your favorite title is plagued with issues. That’s the unfortunate reality for many players exploring Black Ops 6. Recently, Nadeshot, a prominent figure in the gaming community, has decided to step back from playing this installment of Call of Duty, citing an annoying mix of cheating and technical problems.

During a recent stream, he voiced his frustrations candidly. He mentioned that while the mechanics are enjoyable, like the movement and gunplay, he can’t have fun when cheaters run rampant. It’s like trying to bake cookies with half the ingredients missing. No matter how well you follow the recipe, something crucial is just off!

The situation isn’t unique to Nadeshot alone. Many pro players around the globe are feeling disheartened as they struggle through Ranked Play matches overwhelmed by cheaters. It appears that Team RICOCHET, Activision’s anti-cheat team, recently admitted they’ve “missed the mark” with their current system but assured players that fixes are on their way in several weeks at best.

Nadeshot isn’t alone in his frustration. His decision reflects a broader exodus among professional gamers putting down their controllers in favor of other titles until these issues get sorted out. He also pointed out ongoing network glitches and core bugs contributing to his choice.

The core mechanics of the game are fun.

I enjoy the movement, I enjoy the gunplay, I enjoy some parts of the foundation of the game, but I can’t play it.

I can’t enjoy it; there’s no integrity. Somebody is cheating or the network sucks or the game is broken.

I don’t enjoy it enough to sit here and play it every day.

This sentiment resonates deeply within the community. Initially, many thought Black Ops 6 might be turning things around for Call of Duty, especially after last year’s disappointing launch with Modern Warfare III. However, what started as a honeymoon period quickly soured when players encountered familiar frustrations, the kind we’ve seen linger throughout past titles, like packet burst issues that seem almost endemic in this franchise!

Nadeshot is stepping away from Call of Duty for other games for the time being, citing server issues, the game being broken, constant cheaters, and more.
