Hunt: Showdown 1896 has added a new story to its growing world of grim legends. Corruption’s Cup centers on one of the bayou’s most notorious Hunters, a woman whose reputation changes depending on who is telling the tale. The story arrives after the Corruption’s Cup pre-order announcement, which introduced the physical Corruption’s Cup collection alongside the Bound By Blood Necklace.
Some see her as an angel, while others view her as a devil. Her identity is not revealed in the introduction, which instead teases a secret she plans to keep until death, unless someone reaches her first.
Players can read the full Corruption’s Cup lore entry online. Crytek pointed readers toward the story through a Steam announcement, giving the Dime Novel a clear place in Hunt’s ongoing fiction.
The name also belongs to the physical collection of both Dime Novels that opened for pre-orders on September 14. That collection brings the fictional books together in one volume, while the new lore entry lets readers access the story online.
