Hideo Kojima appeared during the closing moments of Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show broadcast to confirm that Bill Skarsgård will portray the lead role in PHYSINT. Kojima also shared fresh updates on OD – KNOCK and presented a new PHYSINT poster featuring Skarsgård and Charlee Fraser. Xbox had announced its September 17 Tokyo Game Show broadcast plans, promising exclusive content and a look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 before the event expanded into a 17-announcement showcase.

Xbox’s upcoming releases receive new dates and trailers
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 received a new campaign trailer focused on Captain Price, the war on the Korean Peninsula, and a catastrophic weapon nearing the wrong hands. The game will launch on October 23, 2026, while Campaign Early Access will begin on October 16 for players who pre-order the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition.
Edge of Memories will launch on November 5, 2026. The action RPG follows Eline and her companions as they fight the Corrosion, a disease that damages the land and opens new routes through previously visited areas. The trailer also featured the Japanese voice cast.
Once Human dated its largest free content update so far. Isles of Abyss will arrive on October 22, 2026, adding ship building, island and ocean survival, deep-sea exploration, ghost vessels, moving islands, and endgame boss encounters. The expansion will be available on Xbox Series X|S through Game Pass.
Shape of Dreams received the show’s surprise release. It is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass, with four-player co-op, cross-play, and a roguelite structure built around Travelers and their Memories. The trailer also introduced Cetus as the newest member of the group.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember showed a boss fight against Zuochi, a powerful demon. Its Alpha Demo will remain available until September 30, and players who complete it can claim the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet in the full game. The sequel will launch on March 4, 2027, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and cloud.
Fallout 76 also received a new animated trailer for The Slasher update, which is already available. Its multi-week storyline sends players toward emergency broadcasts, Infestations of masked supporters, unmarked graves, a special Power Armor set, and the Super Slasher weapon.
New adventures from Japan and beyond
Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories confirmed the return of Rutger and Lenja from Atelier Yumia. The pair now serve as experienced members of the Aladiss Pioneering Team and will support Karia during the new adventure.
ArtPlay showed new gameplay from Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, which is coming in 2027. The 2.5D metroidvania takes place in 16th-century England and follows Leo and Alex through a cursed land filled with dangerous enemies.
Netmarble’s Bloomwalker revealed its Pocket Dimension, a self-contained area accessed through a door inside the Moving House. Players can build structures, customize the space, and restore it alongside their Familiars and Higgledies. The game is now officially part of the Ni No Kuni universe and will support Xbox Play Anywhere on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
SEGA confirmed that Japan will be one of the locations in Crazy Taxi: World Tour. Players will be able to drive through historic neighborhoods and modern city streets when the game reaches Xbox Series X|S in 2027.
Faraday Blues had its world premiere during the broadcast. Serenity Forge’s surreal sci-fi adventure follows a daughter searching for parents who do not know she exists. Players use character cards to rewrite choices across three connected visual novels, with decisions carrying across three eras and 64 possible endings.
GACHIAKUTA: BREAKOUT received an extended gameplay trailer. Based on the television anime, the survival action RPG focuses on melee combat and a stylized world. It will arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2027 with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
Genigods: Nezha introduced its mythic setting through a developer diary. Players become the Spirit Pearl, the primal essence created by the goddess Nüwa, before reincarnating as Nezha. The action RPG is coming soon to Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Hope in the City will launch on November 10, 2026. The narrative mystery follows teenage Hope as she investigates the sudden disappearance of her parents with the help of her sketchbook and artistic perspective. It will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Persona 4 Revival introduced detective Naoto Shirogane in its latest character trailer. The remake will launch on February 18, 2027, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and cloud, with availability through Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere.
Raji: Kaliyuga received an extended gameplay presentation with developer commentary. Set six years after the original game, the sequel expands the conflict into a struggle involving gods, asuras, and mystical forces. It also moves from an isometric format to third-person action-adventure gameplay and is planned for Xbox Series X|S, PC, cloud, and Game Pass.
