Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Maps Out Three Updates for 2026
The roadmap includes a September Huey update, new maps, weapons, APCs, cosmetics, and a persistent battalion system.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launched on August 13, 2026, and Expression Games has already outlined the next stages for its tactical shooter. Update 1.2 is now live with more than 500 fixes, while the 2026 roadmap lays out three planned content updates with new weapons, maps, vehicles, cosmetics, and feature work.
The game arrived with six maps and four modes, as detailed in our launch breakdown. Expression Games has now detailed the larger plan in its official 2026 roadmap. Update 1.5 has a September window, while exact dates for that update and the later milestones have not been announced.
Update 1.5 Will Add a Huey and Two Requested Rifles
September’s Update 1.5 will begin the major content rollout with a vehicle addition and two weapons. US Forces will receive the M14 rifle, while the NVA will get the Chinese-produced Type 56 SKS. Both firearms have been requested by players since launch.
The update will also bring the Bell UH-1 Iroquois, better known as the Huey, to the battlefield. The helicopter is officially licensed through a partnership with Bell, giving the Vietnam setting another piece of hardware closely tied to the era.
Hueys will have an onboard radio that passengers and nearby players can hear. Music will remain synchronized across helicopters in the area, and Expression Games is preparing a soundtrack built around Vietnam War-era songs. Players will be able to turn the music off when they would rather focus on radio calls, footsteps, and incoming fire.
Update 2.0 Brings Khe Sanh and ANZAC Forces
Update 2.0 will add Khe Sanh, the first new map planned for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. Expression Games says the battlefield will have a markedly different look and feel from the launch maps.
The Australian and New Zealand Army Corps will join the US side in that update, bringing three weapons with them: the semi-automatic L1A1 SLR, the close-quarters F1 SMG, and the L16A1 mortar.
Deluxe Edition cosmetics will also add uniforms for US forces, Allied Anzacs, and NVA Infantry. The second update therefore mixes fresh terrain, support equipment, close-range firepower, and additional character customization.
Update 3.0 Expands the Vehicle and Weapon Rosters
Further ahead, Update 3.0 will send players into the swamps and jungles of Rung Sat. US and NVA armored personnel carriers will also arrive, giving squads a faster way to move troops and apply pressure across the battlefield.
The update will add the Green Berets and Navy Seals as alternative Allied player models. Its weapon lineup will include the Stoner 63 assault rifle and a scoped M14 variant for US and Allied forces, while the NVA will receive the MAT-49 SMG and the Soviet SVD Dragunov marksman rifle.
Deluxe Edition cosmetics will include uniforms for Green Berets, Navy Seals, and NVA variants. The scoped M14 and SVD will add longer-range options, while the APCs should give both sides a new way to move troops and apply pressure across the map.
Battalions Will Give Clans a Persistent Home
The roadmap also outlines a battalion system for players, clans, and other organized groups. Persistent battalions will let members track statistics, make progress together, unlock content, and join servers alongside one another.
Expression Games plans to use Battalions v1.0 as a foundation and continue developing the system with community feedback. Vehicle skins are also planned as a separate cosmetic addition, while performance, stability, optimization, fixes, polish, and quality-of-life improvements will continue alongside the larger updates.
For now, the roadmap provides a content order rather than a full calendar. Update 1.5 has a September window, but specific release dates for it, Update 2.0, and Update 3.0 have not been announced.
