GTA 6 Leak Video Appears to Show New Taser and Stealth Details
The footage appears to include non-lethal guards, vehicle break-in choices, a yellow detection bar, and Tate McRae's "Sports Car."

A new Grand Theft Auto VI leak video appears to show several small systems at work, from non-lethal security responses to different ways of entering vehicles. The footage also includes a brief scene involving Jason and Cal, offering more clues about stealth, wanted status, and NPC reactions.
The map interface resembles a playful parody of Apple Maps, while Tate McRae’s “Sports Car” is apparently included in the game’s music. The song was released in January 2025, so genuine radio audio would place the recording no earlier than then. Since the footage comes from a leak, neither detail should be treated as final confirmation.
Stealth and vehicle break-ins offer more options
Warehouses appear to function as restricted areas. When Jason enters one, an NPC tells him that he is not allowed to be there. A nearby vehicle presents two apparent ways inside: Clone Key, which is greyed out, and Smash Window. The footage does not reveal what tools would unlock the first option.
Looking at a police officer reportedly adds a Tag option alongside a command to surrender. The footage does not show what tagging the officer would do.
Jason also reportedly picks up a cap from the ground and puts it on backwards. Fuel levels appear in the footage as another vehicle detail.
Stealth uses a detection bar, and the version visible here is yellow. Earlier footage has shown different versions of the bar, but this scene does not explain whether the colors have separate meanings. A red indicator also points toward incoming gunfire, giving Jason a quick direction for the danger around him.
Nighttime scenes reportedly feature ray-traced street lights and real-time reflections in car windows. Jason’s shirt is also said to cast a pink hue onto a car’s trunk through RTGI, adding a flashy little lighting detail to the otherwise tense footage.
Guards can warn, stun, and leave targets alive
Security behavior gets plenty of attention in the clip. One guard repeatedly warns Jason not to come closer before finally firing, while other guards can use tasers instead of guns.
Unconscious NPCs apparently remain alive after being knocked down. Jason can tase a security officer who is already unconscious, causing her to jerk violently in a slightly cartoony-looking reaction. Some knockouts also trigger slow-motion finishers, and the ragdoll reactions are visibly pronounced.
Jason may avoid a vehicle alert
Jason apparently enters a truck without being seen. When he later becomes wanted, no vehicle icon appears, which may mean nobody identified the truck as his getaway vehicle. The footage does not make clear whether that result depends on the way Jason entered, the vehicle itself, or how the scene was staged.
The final scene has Jason meet Cal on a boat, a character previously introduced on the game’s website. Jason tells him that men in suits will eventually come looking for him, while Cal believes a VPN will keep them from finding him. The VPN line is presented as a joke rather than confirmed story dialogue. It is an oddly specific bit of dialogue for a leaked scene, and it adds a little humor to the systems-focused footage.
These details remain unconfirmed. The clip surfaced before Rockstar’s scheduled August 27 extended look, which will offer the first extended look at GTA VI gameplay. The presentation is scheduled to premiere on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET before reaching the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel at 9 p.m. ET.
