EA SPORTS College Football 27’s September 10 Update Reworks Aggressive Coaching Adjustments
Aggressive Blocking loses its blocking and holding effects, while Aggressive Ball Carrier gets a smaller tackle-breaking bonus.
EA SPORTS College Football 27’s September 10 Gameplay Live Content Update is now live, and its main changes target two coach adjustments that can affect every snap. Turning on Aggressive Blocking no longer grants its former blocking boost or raises the risk of a Holding call. Aggressive Ball Carrier remains available, but its extra chance to break a tackle has been cut sharply.
CPU defenses will also respond better when an offense leans on outside runs repeatedly. The update is a narrower gameplay follow-up to the August 6 title update, which introduced broader changes to blocking, pass rush, coverage, and other gameplay systems.

The three changes fall into two groups. Two adjust the benefits and drawbacks of user-selected coaching options, while the third changes how CPU defenses react to repeated outside run calls.
- Removed both the blocking bonus and increased Holding penalty risk from the Aggressive Blocking Coach Adjustment, so selecting it no longer changes blocking performance or Holding penalty rates.
- Significantly reduced the bonus chance to break tackles provided by the Aggressive Ball Carrier Coach Adjustment.
- Improved how CPU defenses adjust to repeated outside run calls.
