Crimson Desert 2.04.00 Fixes Skill Issues, Ship Cameras, and a Desert Respawn Bug

Crimson Desert Version 2.04.00 fixes problems with skill effects, ship cameras, housing placement, and more. Pearl Abyss says the hotfix is distributing across all platforms, with Steam for PC and Mac marked available now in its Steam patch notice. The preceding release added the Charting the Unknown expansion, with ocean exploration, new quests, and the Garden of Trials, covered in Charting the Unknown expansion.

The gameplay fixes include Ascend skills that were not applying correctly, Damiane’s Shield Toss being usable repeatedly underwater, and Kliff respawning in an inaccessible area after dying in the desert. Players can also take Glowing Seeds out during combat, and the quest “Footsteps in Unfamiliar Lands” can now start from its starting location.

One version-label quirk comes with the update: the game will still display 2.04.00 after installation, but the fixes will apply. Pearl Abyss says the version number will display correctly with a future patch.

Fixed an issue where certain “Ascend” skills would not be applied correctly.
[Damiane] Fixed an issue where Shield Toss could be used repeatedly underwater.
Glowing Seeds can now be taken out during combat.
Fixed an issue where the camera distance would change after aiming the ship cannon.
Fixed an issue where the camera moved awkwardly when boarding a ship.
Fixed an issue where certain plants would appear to penetrate through housing.
Fixed an issue where item placement in housing could be misaligned when the monitor resolution differed from the in-game resolution.
Improved the quest “Footsteps in Unfamiliar Lands” so the mission can be started from the starting location.
Fixed an issue where Kliff could respawn in an inaccessible area under certain conditions after dying in the desert.
