Crimson Desert 2.04.00 Adds Ocean Exploration, Housing, and 10 Trial Groups
Charting the Unknown is available now on Steam for PC and Mac, though Mac players need a one-time full-size game download.

Crimson Desert Version 2.04.00 brings the Charting the Unknown DLC to the game, opening up ocean exploration alongside new quests, housing options, management systems, and combat challenges. The patch is available now on Steam for PC and Mac, according to Pearl Abyss’s Version 2.04.00 Steam announcement.
Mac players face an extra step: the update requires a one-time download of the full game package on Steam for Mac and the Mac App Store. The notice lists Steam PC and Mac as available now while saying the patch is rolling out across all platforms.
The expansion pushes exploration past Pywel’s coast. Its new ocean quest, A Wider World, becomes available after completing Howling HIll and expanding the Greymane camp above a required level. Ships can be built through dispatch missions or bought from fleetmasters, and players can sail to islands, dive for underwater discoveries, trade at sea, and seek out treasure maps. Diving brings a breath gauge, with suit upgrades increasing its capacity.

Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane each receive an individual quest after Journey’s End. Elsewhere, players can build a home with a custom layout, operate businesses in liberated strongholds, hold camp festivals, and deepen relationships with Pywel’s residents. The combat-focused Garden of Trials offers 10 groups of challenges after Journey’s End, with skill improvements for completing each group.
