CoD: Warzone reaches 100 million players, Live Event Incoming

To all the doubters out there, no matter how much you crave for Warzone’s failure, it’s still currently the most played Battle Royale game. Recently, Activision has reached a new milestone with its free-to-play CoD: Warzone Battle Royale. After 13 months of release, Call of Duty Warzone is now noticing 100 million players. Verdansk, the city that has had seen billions of battles leading to slaughter, it’s still the main attraction for newcomers.

Over 100 million players have set a foothold in Verdansk, which Activision couldn’t miss and address on Call of Duty’s official Twitter Profile. Thank you all for dropping in, they say. It wouldn’t be Warzone without you.

If you forgot, CoD: Warzone is slowly turning into Fortnite, and it’s in expectation of the very first live event that will introduce the players to the 1980s. An older, more authentic, and somewhat medieval Verdansk. Couldn’t be happier. While the upcoming event is still mysterious and players don’t exactly know what’s going to happen, there have been numerous predictions that Nuclear Bombs will impact Verdansk, which will lead to a rather slight setback in the past.

The Live event is called Operation Rapid Sunder, and it’s estimated to start today, April 21st, at 12PM PT / 3PM ET.

The CoD: Black Ops Cold War-inspired map is just around the corner, and players are eagerly waiting for the upcoming event. Something terrible is about to happen, so make sure you’re logged in Warzone during these two days, because the event may struck at any time.
