Beast of Reincarnation is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, giving Game Freak’s action RPG a much wider launch than the studio’s usual Nintendo-focused releases. The game is scheduled to arrive on August 4.
The title takes place in a futuristic, ruined version of Japan affected by a spreading blight. Instead of Pokémon-style collection and turn-based battles, it follows Emma and her dog Koo through a single-player action RPG built around combat and survival.
Beast of Reincarnation on PS5
The PS5 version is listed on the PlayStation Store ahead of its scheduled August 4 launch. Both physical and digital editions are planned for release, giving PlayStation players two ways to pick up the game. You can find more details about the PS5 release date in the current launch listing.
Beast of Reincarnation on Xbox Series X|S
Xbox Series X|S is also included in the launch lineup. The game will be available through Xbox Game Pass on day one, but the source material notes that access is limited to the Ultimate and PC tiers.
That means subscribers on those plans can play Beast of Reincarnation without buying a separate copy when it launches.
Beast of Reincarnation on PC
PC players will be able to play the game through both Steam and the Microsoft Store. Its PC release arrives alongside the PS5 and Xbox versions on August 4.
Is Beast of Reincarnation coming to Nintendo Switch?
There is currently no announced version for either Nintendo Switch system. That includes the original Switch and Switch 2.
A future port remains possible, but Game Freak has not confirmed one. For now, players looking to try the studio’s action RPG will need to use PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC.
