Thursday night at The Game Awards, developer Saber Interactive unveiled the first look into their upcoming title – Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Capturing attention was Ultramarine Captain Titus, a towering figure of genetically engineered might sent to tear through his enemies with devastating effects!
Titus is tasked with a herculean mission: take on an alien menace hellbent on consuming the planet he’s sworn to protect. The Tyranids, ruthless insectoid invaders from another world, have descended upon an Imperial hive world, and it falls to Titus alone to stand in their way.
In 2011, the acclaimed third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine burst onto the gaming scene. In this intergalactic odyssey, players stepped into the shoes of Captain Titus – humanity’s last hope in saving Forge World Graia from an Ork invasion and their Chaos Space Marines allies. Developed by Relic Entertainment, it quickly became a cult classic!
A thrilling new gameplay trailer gives glimpses of how epic this battle against overwhelming odds can be – with dozens of enemies appearing at once and low camera angles making even our hero seem titanic! Beyond that lies breathtaking architecture housing fabulous reserves of genetic diversity, resources critically needed by these deadly predators if they ever satisfy their insatiable appetite for conquest.
Space Marine 2 is coming out on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X in 2023.
