E3 2023 Ready to Recover as Both In-Person and Digital Event

E3, our beloved annual video game convention, is ready to make a return on the scene. What was supposed to be the biggest gaming event each year was kneeling before the cruel and devastating impact of COVID-19. It has remained beaten ever since, and no signs of recovery were present until today. On Tuesday, the show’s parent company stated that E3 is ready to make a comeback in 2023, both digital and in-person.

Stan Pierre-Louis, president, and CEO of the ESA, in an interview with the Washington Post, stated: “we’re excited about coming back in 2023 with both a digital and an in-person event. As much as we love these digital events, and as much as they reach people and we want that global reach, we also know that there’s a really strong desire for people to convene – to be able to connect in person and see each other and talk about what makes games great.”

Video Game Developers and companies are having a rough time trying to find the best way to promote their product. Stan Pierre-Louis presented his awareness of the current issues and stated companies of all sizes are still trying to figure out what works best to promote their product.

E3 has had a rough time since the pandemic. With E3 2022’s yet another absence, other Digital Events have swung the gaming industry and have somewhat buried the specialty and importance of gaming conventions such as E3. In any case, we’ll have to wait until 2023 and see if E3 makes a full recovery. Until then, stay tuned!
