Delta Force’s Reorientation season will start September 8 with Rover and fishing

The 2nd anniversary season will add Layali Grove 2.0, The Mog, new weapons, and a Polaris Patrol mode scheduled for October 16.

Delta Force will begin its 2nd Anniversary Season, Reorientation, on September 8 across PC, mobile, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The update will add the Rover Support Operator, a major Layali Grove overhaul, the Fishing mode, The Mog Warfare map, new weapons, and a large set of balance and system changes, according to the official Steam announcement.

The rollout will not use downtime. On PC, Android, iOS, and console, Operations and Warfare ranked matches will enter the off-season at 00:30 UTC+0 on September 8. At 01:59 UTC+0, the Operations entrance and matchmaking mode will close, along with the Market and Auction House. The PC, Android, and iOS updates will become available at 02:00 UTC+0, while the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions will also become available at 02:00 UTC+0.

Rover brings a military dog to Delta Force

Rowan Walsh, known by the code name Rover, will join the Support roster with a military dog that can track enemies, pursue the nearest target, tackle them, and apply a Mark. Rover’s Dart Rifle will work differently between Operations and Warfare, while Irritant Smoke Grenades will force enemies inside the cloud to cough.

In Operations, Rover’s Guard Drive will make enemies hit by his gadgets easier for the dog to track, extend downed durations, and remove multiple limb injury stacks when Rover rescues an ally. His Warfare version, Prey Drive, will also improve tracking and resupply an ally’s ammunition after a rescue.

Layali Grove 2.0 adds boats, NPCs, and a new extraction setup

Layali Grove 2.0 will expand the Operations map with Serenity Bay, North Slope Caves, and the Haavk Underground Dock. The river network and map boundaries will be reworked, cover positions will change, and new supply containers and spawn points will be added.

A new Flagship Task called “Bounty: Wave Breaker” will ask players to steal and escort an Assault Boat from the Haavk Underground Dock for Reis before extracting it for rewards. Four Jet Skis will also be added across the map’s river areas, with two extra Jet Skis appearing when the task is inactive. Joe Reed, Zola Zar, and Taj Faris will appear as new NPCs who can be approached during matches.

The Transnova Station train extraction will also change. After the lever is pulled, the door will open after 1 minute, and extraction will become available 3 minutes later instead of 5 minutes. In addition, the blocked-off area inside Haavk WSR Lab will be removed and Layali Grove’s Insertion Point locations will be redesigned.

The Mog will bring infantry fighting to Warfare

The new Warfare map, The Mog, will take players into smoke-filled street battles through the damaged districts of modern Mogadishu. The map will feature push-cart tug-of-war objectives, UH-60 Black Hawk air support, and combined-arms combat.

Fishing arrives before the 1v1 mode

Fishing will unlock at Operations Level 17 after players find Joe Reed in Layali Grove – Easy. The mode will support Zero Dam – Easy, Layali Grove – Easy, and AZ3 – Easy. Players will be able to use Float Fishing Rods and Lure Rods, buy equipment from the Fishing Store, and build custom rods through the Fishing Modify screen.

Fishing will use different timing and tension rules depending on the rod. Float Fishing requires players to reel in when the float fully sinks, while the Lure Rod requires attention to the line, the fish’s movement, and the tension indicator. White means low tension, yellow means medium tension, and red means high tension. Excessive tension can snap the line.

Catches will award Fishing EXP and raise the Fishing Level. The Gallery will track the highest rarity, maximum length, and maximum and minimum weight for each fish species, and those records will not depend on whether a fish is extracted or sold. Fishing gear and catches will receive a dedicated Fishing Exclusive Expansion Crate after the system is unlocked.

A new Operations 1v1 mode will arrive after the Mid-Season Update. Players will bring gear into a one-on-one standoff, choose the battlefield, and fight without consuming gear during the event.

Polaris Patrol will become available on October 16 in Space City. Players will choose between Desmoulins and the Adjutant, with each identity providing different appearances, abilities, and objectives. Desmoulins will require the Desmoulins File and a Security Director’s Work Badge, while the Heavy Guard and Comms Guard Adjutants will be unlocked by default but will require a Desmoulins in the squad.

Performance Ranks will award Director’s supplies, limited appearances, and a chance at red-quality collectibles. G.T.I. Operators will also be able to earn Performance Points by defeating Squad Desmoulins, with successful kills opening access to his mezzanine and its possible rewards. The mode will support Space City – Normal, AZ3 – Normal, and Space City – Hard.

New ammunition, weapons, attachments, and vehicles

Reorientation will add .45 ACP Super Permanent Ammo, several season-limited 4.6x30mm rounds, and 12 Gauge DART ammunition. The update will also add the permanent APX Hybrid Sight, limited Haavk attachments for the M700, QJB201, and 93R, the MDR Assault Rifle, the Thompson SMG, and the Amphibious LSV.

The Amphibious LSV will have Assault, Mortar, and Rocket Launcher variants. Players will be able to spend points during combat to unlock the latter two variants, deploy them directly, and replenish their primary weapon ammunition at supply stations.

Patch Notes

Reorientation will also reset Season 10 mission progress, introduce a new Season 11 mission line, reduce several early mission requirements, add Drag Rescue, expand the EDC Tool Kit, adjust vehicle deployment, and make changes to weapons and Support Operators. The official note items are reproduced below in their original order.

New Operator

  • New Support Operator: Rowan Walsh, Code Name: Rover
  • Man’s Best Friend
  • Blows the dog whistle to call in a military dog that fights alongside the operator.
  • The dog continuously senses enemy targets within range: if enemies are present, it locks onto the nearest target and actively pursues, tackling them and applying a Mark; if no enemies are detected, it follows the operator and remains on Alert.
  • Dart Rifle (Operations)
  • Fires syringes. Upon impact, each syringe releases a lingering mist that continuously heals allies’ injured limbs while reducing the max HP of enemies within range and dealing damage over time.
  • Dart Rifle (Warfare)
  • Fires syringes. Upon impact, each syringe releases a lingering mist that reduces the max HP of enemies within range and deals damage over time.
  • Irritant
  • Throws an Irritant Smoke Grenade; enemies within the smoke will cough.
  • Guard Drive (Operations)
  • Enemies hit by his gadgets become easier for his military dog to track. Grants longer downed durations, and rescuing an ally removes multiple stacks of limb injuries.
  • Prey Drive (Warfare)
  • Enemies hit by his gadget become easier for his military dog to track. Rescuing an ally resupplies their ammo.

  • Friendly Haavk units will remain neutral toward Squad Desmoulins (excluding Hudson units);
  • Results are calculated based on operation performance, earning Performance Points.
  • Increasing your Performance Rank grants exclusive Director’s supplies and limited appearances. Director’s Reward Crates have a chance to contain limited red-quality collectibles.
  • Completing Director’s and Adjutant’s to-do missions grants Performance Points; complete all missions to earn an exclusive Medal of Honor.
  • Unlike Fiery Owl Hunt, in this Polaris Patrol event, G.T.I. Operators can also earn Performance Points by defeating Squad Desmoulins in a match.
  • G.T.I. Operators who defeat Desmoulins have a chance to find limited red-quality collectibles in his mezzanine.
  • Identity Requirements:
  • “Security Director” Desmoulins: Complete the Desmoulins File to unlock the Desmoulins identity. Entering as Desmoulins requires spending a Security Director’s Work Badge. Desmoulins can enter solo or team up with an Adjutant.
  • Adjutant: Adjutants include the Heavy Guard and Comms Guard, unlocked by default, requiring no Security Director’s Work Badge to enter. A Desmoulins must be present in the squad for an Adjutant to enter.
  • Squad Desmoulins Loadouts: Can manually configure loadouts or use Gear Tickets and exclusive Custom Gear Tickets.
  • Special access: Desmoulins can use the executive elevator and its exclusive extraction point in the Space City garden. After the G.T.I. faction kills Desmoulins, they can pick up his special Access Card in the mezzanine sector to use the aforementioned exclusive access.
  • Security Director’s Work Badges can be purchased from the Supply Station for 250,000 Tekniq Alloys each. You can initially purchase 4, with one additional purchase slot restored every 21 hours, up to a maximum of 8 stored.
  • Desmoulins’s Squad Ability Overview:
  • “Security Director – Anais Desmoulins”:
  • Tactical Gear: Neural-Controlled Vehicle
  • Deploys and controls a Haavk cutting-edge Neural-Controlled Vehicle for remote combat operations. The vehicle is equipped with a multi-function Weapon Station, featuring combat modules such as an MG, Grenade Launcher, Threat Imaging System, and Seeker Bomb Vehicle.
  • Tactical Gear: Threat Imaging System
  • Activates her imaging system to scan and mark nearby threats, and share target data with squadmates. While active, gains increased handling and ADS movement speed based on her equipped weapon, along with additional buffs. When in a vehicle, she can lock onto enemy targets, enabling lock-on for certain vehicle weapons.
  • Tactical Gear: Seeker Bomb Vehicle
  • Deploys a Seeker Bomb Vehicle that moves forward, searching for enemies. Upon detecting a target, it automatically locks on, pursues the target, and detonates after a short delay.
  • Weakness Analysis
  • Desmoulins applies a lasting Weakness effect to enemies hit. Affected targets have reduced armor repair speed and slower use of certain medical items, increasing recovery time. If a target enters the Dying state, their Bleed Rate increases and their mobility while Downed is reduced.
  • “Adjutant – Athos Leal”:
  • Tactical Gear: Remote Bomb
  • Throws a remote bomb that can be manually detonated after attaching, or detonates automatically after a longer delay. It can attach to the Neural-Controlled Vehicle, greatly extending the automatic detonation timer while attached.
  • Tactical Gear: Smoke Grenade
  • Fires a smoke grenade that bursts on impact. The grenade can attach to the Neural-Controlled Vehicle, continuously releasing smoke from the attachment point for a set duration.
  • Operator Trait: Haavk Elite
  • Drags allies to safety. When the Adjutant is near Desmoulins or the Neural-Controlled Vehicle, direct damage dealt by either one to an enemy operator briefly increases the Adjutant’s movement speed.
  • “Adjutant – Aramis Orgueil”:
  • Tactical Gear: Flare
  • Fires a flare that hovers in place after traveling a set distance, periodically scanning for enemy operators. The flare can attach to the Neural-Controlled Vehicle and periodically scan from the attachment point.
  • Tactical Gear: Airburst Grenade
  • Fires an airburst grenade that detonates after a fixed delay, dealing damage. The grenade can attach to the Neural-Controlled Vehicle without changing its detonation delay.
  • Operator Trait: Haavk Elite
  • Drags allies to safety. When the Adjutant is near Desmoulins or the Neural-Controlled Vehicle, direct damage dealt by either one to an enemy operator briefly increases the Adjutant’s movement speed.

As you progress through Polaris Challenge and raise your Performance Rank, you’ll continuously receive various emails from Desmoulins’ social network. • In-Match:
  • Reach the vicinity of a fishable body of water;
  • Use the EDC Tool Kit wheel to switch to your fishing rod and cast;
  • When using the Float Fishing Rod, watch the float on the water’s surface after casting; quickly reel in when the float fully sinks below the surface to successfully catch a fish;
  • When using the Lure Rod, watch the water’s surface and the fishing line’s state after casting. Once the line goes taut, reel in quickly. After a bite, watch the direction the fish struggles and reel in the opposite direction to wear down its stamina. Keep an eye on the line’s tension (White = Low, Yellow = Medium, Red = High); excessive tension will snap the line, so releasing some line can help reduce tension. • EDC Tool Kit: Reaching Operations Level 17 and obtaining at least one “Portable Tool” type item unlocks the EDC Tool Kit function. Outside of matches, you can place designated collectibles into the “EDC Tool Kit” to carry and use them during matches. Items placed in the “EDC Tool Kit” have the following characteristics:
  • Cannot be taken out of or dropped from the tool kit during a match;
  • Does not count towards Entry Loadout Value and is not affected by standard loadout carry restrictions;
  • Can only be placed into or removed from the EDC Tool Kit outside of matches;
  • Items in the tool kit will not drop or be lost when an extraction fails.
  • Items currently supported for placement in the “EDC Tool Kit” include: Golden Soccer Ball, Iridescent Soccer Ball, Ahsarah Card Box (can no longer be brought into matches through standard means such as the Safe Box), Drone, Fishing Rod, and Petite Madame – Requin Model.
  • We will continue to expand the range of supported items going forward. We look forward to seeing you discover more fun gameplay in matches!

  • Auction House: Added a convenient feature that directly sells attachments below a certain per-slot value to the Supply Station when selling a full weapon;

  • Warfare
  • Added a “Report/Add Friend” button to the in-match scoreboard in Warfare;

  • New Mode: Free Battlefield: Allows players to freely create rooms under Victory Unite rules;
  • Victory Unite Mode Vehicle Deployment Request: Deploying a vehicle requires approval from the Commander before it can proceed. The Commander themselves, players in the top eight of any faction’s historical seasonal Vehicle KPM, or those with a Gold vehicle proficiency rating can deploy vehicles directly without this restriction; if the Commander does not respond within the approval window, the request will be automatically approved.
  • Victory Unite Mode Unlock Condition Adjustment: Reaching Colonel in the Grade will permanently unlock Victory Unite mode.
  • Victors Assembly will launch in the Reorientation season: create or search for and join your preferred Victory Unite squad; preview or edit basic squad information and members; view historical match records based on Free Battlefield; or send challenge invitations to other squads.
