It’s not Call of Duty if it is not shifting through different timelines. The new and upcoming Call of Duty game is undoubtedly in development by Sledgehammer Games, a known developer for previous WW2-themed titles, such as the one in 2017, when the title was named WW2 originally. Well, as an honored developer, Sledgehammer Games would probably take us on yet another WW2 journey, with a slight difference from the one before.
This information is found by ModernWarzone, one of the epicenters for crucial Call of Duty leaks and rumors. The portal alleged that the upcoming Call of Duty’s tentative title is Call Of Duty WWII: Vanguard, a code name and is likely to be changed in the future.
Another credible leaker under the alias Victor___Z has also confirmed the WW2 setting but discovered something additional. The game would be set in 1950 and is much likely for its story to be connected with the Korean war because that’s the year when the war exactly started.
Furthermore, it is estimated that Sledgehammer Games might also take us on a completely different timeline, with a slightly distorted history. Their thought might be to create a rather prolonged history of guns blazing and go past 1945. I mean, 5 years of timeline, there must be a lot to talk about after World War 2 ended so that any story might boost confidentiality and excitement.

The upcoming game would also have an impact on today’s most popular Battle Royale, Warzone. CoD Warzone would get a new map, just as we learned with the Black Ops Cold War release. The next Call of Duty title is estimated to release during this year, 2021.
