Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School Tips for Keeping Every Clue in Play
Timed, graded rooms sit alongside untimed student errands that award Escape Bucks needed later in the story.

Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School links timed escape rooms with a campus full of clues and side puzzles, so keeping track of what you find can make each room easier to untangle. The game is scheduled to launch Nov. 5, 2026, on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, with Xbox Game Pass availability on day one. Solo, local co-op, and online co-op are supported. For a slower pace, the official Xbox game listing also advertises an optional No-Timer Mode.
Keep a record of clues and call them out
Start each room by checking every object you can pick up or interact with. A small prop may be a puzzle component, a clue, or a useful joke, so note what you find instead of assuming it is decoration. Jot down symbols, cipher details, and number sequences on paper. That gives you a quick reference when a later lock or mechanism asks you to connect several clues.
In co-op, say what you find as you search. Your partner may spot a detail that connects to your clue, but they cannot make that connection if nobody mentions it. The game also works solo, where keeping a written inventory can help prevent useful details from getting lost among the room’s other objects.
Trace the goal backward and use hints in steps
Once you have surveyed the room, look at the final objective and work backward. Ask what the last lock or device needs, then look for the clue or intermediate step that could provide it. Breaking the goal into smaller links gives you a way to sort relevant clues from the room’s distractions.
If you get stuck, open the hint system and take its first nudge before asking for more. Hints become more specific across several prompts, so you can choose how much help to reveal. Using many hints affects your grade, but one or two can still leave an A within reach, and the time saved may help you finish sooner.
Pick up campus errands and spare Escape Bucks
Between rooms, the campus serves as an explorable hub rather than a menu. Some campus areas will open only after enough puzzle progress, and optional student tasks give you more to do as you explore.
Those side tasks are untimed and award Escape Bucks, which the story requires at several points. It is worth taking them as they appear instead of waiting until you need the money. You can also find cash hidden around campus, including in places like couch cushions and toilets.
