Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School Will Bring Open-Campus Puzzles to PS5 on November 5, 2026

The first-person sequel gates some campus areas behind puzzle progress, with solo play and couch or online co-op available from the start.

Coin Crew Games says Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School will arrive on PS5 November 5, 2026. The sequel moves beyond the first game’s more linear structure, making the Academy itself part of the puzzle. Players explore the campus in first person, and some areas stay closed until they solve enough puzzles to unlock them.

Players can tackle the game solo or team up in couch or online co-op from the start. They can also jump in without having played the first game, meet characters around campus, and pick up quests between escape-room challenges.

Headmaster’s Tower and Humanities Campus return

Headmaster’s Tower will give players a closer look at the Academy’s history alongside its puzzles. The Headmaster’s Office, the setting of the original game’s first escape, also returns with a refreshed visual style designed to keep it recognizable.

Humanities Campus has grown beyond its earlier 2D-map form after Quanty burned down the library in the first game’s story. Its expanded layout adds interactable landmarks, side quests, and escapes. Classical architecture gives the area a warmer feel than the industrial Science Campus or colorful Arts Campus.

Humanities Campus won’t be accessible right away, but a keyhole-shaped fountain will offer glimpses of it from campus viewpoints. Keyhole details are also hidden around the Academy, giving players another reason to look closely at its architecture.
