AMD’s Q4 2026 revenue forecast could put it ahead of Intel for the first time in the available historical record. AMD projects about $17 billion for the quarter, while Intel expects $15 billion to $16 billion, flat or slightly lower. The comparison remains a forecast, not a reported result.
AMD CFO and treasurer Jean Hu gave the $17 billion projection on the company’s Q3 2026 earnings call. The outlook follows a record quarter in which AMD brought in $13.377 billion in revenue and $2.428 billion in net income.
The recent growth gap is clear in the quarterly figures. AMD’s Q3 revenue rose from $6.819 billion in 2024 to $13.377 billion in 2026. Intel’s increased from $13.284 billion to $16.513 billion over the same quarters.
Revenue and profit tell different stories, though. In Q3 2026, Intel reported $3.320 billion in net income, compared with AMD’s $2.428 billion. An AMD revenue lead would mark a new high in sales, not necessarily put it ahead in earnings.
