The costume draws on Magik’s place among the Phoenix Five in Avengers vs. X-Men, where she and four other mutants were possessed by the Phoenix. The free reward also includes a Magik avatar.
The giveaway celebrates Phoenix Cyclops’ Nov. 2 debut as the game’s first post-launch character. His Dark Phoenix form can drain his health in exchange for a temporary power boost, bringing another Phoenix-themed addition to the roster.
