Core Keeper’s October Recap Highlights a Free Weekend, Mods and Fan Builds
An Oct. 7 Reddit AMA covered a possible hard mode and crossovers, while the team spotlighted a new ore-boulder mod and an armor contest.

Core Keeper’s first Free Weekend since leaving Early Access brought hundreds of new players underground in October, but a launch bug blocked players from re-entering worlds they created during the event. The team patched the problem after player reports, according to its October community wrap-up on Steam.
On Oct. 7, an AMA in r/NintendoSwitch brought Fredrik, Sven, Herman and Alex in to answer questions about a possible hard mode, potential crossovers and the game’s future.

The month’s other creative extras included a Moss Biome soundtrack, a short on choosing a character background and a Halloween speedbuild in Creative Mode.
A mod makes ore boulders portable
The Smash Ore Boulders mod lets any sledge hammer instantly turn an ore boulder into an inventory item. It does not mine the boulder for resources, so players can move it and place it elsewhere as decoration. The Steam Workshop page for Smash Ore Boulders has the mod.

The creators of the Apostles of Ambition mod are also hosting an armor-design contest. Winning designs will be added to the mod, and their creators will receive full credit. Entries can be concept art or finished sprite sheets, with no strict deadline. Contest details are available in the Core Keeper Discord.
